The property of the local municipality of Oberterzen in the Weidtal valley extends very far into that of Mols. This property was once the subject of much dispute and litigation in 1732 and 34. Oberterzen was able to present its deeds to the Glarus district court and was therefore victorious.

The people of Mols, however, claimed that one of their opponents had given false testimony and thus put them at a disadvantage. The guilty party had to walk in the Weidtal valley as punishment. But the people of Terzen turned to the Guardian of Mels Monastery, and he sent two Capuchins to banish the wandering spirit. However, they did not find any and made the following statement:

“Since the spirits did not answer our frequent enquiries, it is undeniable that they have left the place or have never been there. We therefore believe that the most Christian thing to do is to let the dead rest in the Lord God. (1760).

Das Eigentum der Ortsgemeinde Oberterzen reicht im Weidtal sehr weit in dasjenige von Mols hinein. Über dieses Besitztum wurde einst viel gestritten und in den Jahren 1732 und 34 auch prozessiert. Oberterzen konnte dem Landgerichte von Glarus seine Urkunden vorlegen und trug darum den Sieg davon. Die Molser aber behaupteten, einer ihrer Gegner hätte falsches Zeugnis abgelegt und sie damit benachteiligt. Der Schuldige müsse zur Strafe dafür im Weidtal wandeln. Die Terzner aber wandten sich an den Guardian des Klosters Mels, und dieser schickte zwei Kapuziner, den wandelnden Geist zu bannen. Sie fanden aber keinen und gaben folgenden Befund ab: “Da die Geister auf öfteres Anfragen keine Antwort gegeben, so folget unleugbar, dass sie das Ort verlassen oder keine jemalen dort gewesen seien. Wir meinen also am allerchristlichsten zu handeln, wenn man die Toten in Gott dem Herrn ruhen liesse.” (1760.)
