Then, one of the spirits said to him, “Had you chosen differently, we would have tangled you up like the bushes in the sun. But now, make a wish; it will be granted.” The young man said, “Where this Cheise-n-ä has been so splendidly praised, let mine also be.”

That’s what happened, and from then on the Kuhreihen was known in the Highlands.

Zum Glügg hat er di grüä gwehlt. Duä heig einä vu da Geisterä zuenem gseit: “Hettist du änderst gwehlt, so hettemer di verrupft we d’s Gstrüpp in der Sunnä. Aber jetz chast ä Wunsch tuä; er soll erfüllt wärdä.” Duä sägi der jung Burst: “Där, wou beim Cheise-n-ä sou prächtig gjoulät hat, söll mis au leihrä.”
