When the road still stretched through the narrow lane to Weite next to the Gufelstein, a dog regularly accompanied the journeys. After the new road was built around the Lonna Hill, the dog continued to follow the same route for many years.

Editor’s note: I can’t find a Gufelstein on maps but there is a Gufelweg that passes through a narrow valley .

Der Posthund

Als noch die Fahrstrasse durch die hohle Gasse nach Weite neben dem Gufelstein sich hinzog, begleitete ein Hund regelmässig die Fahrten. Nach Erstellung der neuen Strasse um den Lonnenhügel herum lies der Hund noch viele Jahre den gleichen Weg.
