A farmer came to the “Küsterli” (sexton) and complained that someone had stolen the hay from his meadow. The “Küsterli” promised him his help; tomorrow he should go to the meadow again at the appointed hour, then he would find the thief. In fact, someone was tied up in the meadow with a new load of hay, so that he and his two horses could not move from the spot.

Gebannt

Ein Bauer kam zum “Küsterli” (Küster) und klagte ihm, jemand habe ihn, das Heu von der Wiese weggestohlen. Der Küsterli versprach ihm seine Hilfe; morgen soll er zur bestimmten Stunde wieder auf die Wiese gehen, dann werde er den Dieb finden. Wirklich war einer auf der Wiese mit einem neuen Fuder Heu festgebannt, so dass er mit seinen zwei Pferden nicht von der Stelle kommen konnte.
