Once in Grub, the Evil One appeared in the flesh and was, of course, no worthy guest. First the Protestant pastor confronted him and said: “I come and summon you,” to which he replied: “I come and consume you”. Now the Catholic pastor appeared, who could do nothing for a long time. Finally, however, he came after him with a strong remedy, so that he called out: “Into the ravine in the bucket! Nearby is the Sacktobel. The devil was carried there in a bucket and had to stay there for a long time.

Once an old farmer wanted to carry the bucket away. But it became heavier and heavier, so that the man had to drop it.

Some say they saw a cat in that area at night, which glowed but soon disappeared.

Der Teufel im Kübel

In Grub erschien einst der leibhaftige Böse und war natürlich kein werter Gast. Zuerst trat ihm der protestantische Pfarrer entgegen und sagte: “Ich komme und beschwöre dich,” worauf jener erwiderte: “Ich komme und verzehre dich.” – Nun erschien der katholische Seelsorger, der lange ebenfalls nichts ausrichten konnte. Endlich rückte er ihm aber doch mit einem starken Mittel auf den Leib, so dass dieser rief: “Ins Töbeli im Chöbeli!” In der Nähe ist nämlich das Sacktobel. Dahin wurde der Teufel in einem Kübelchen getragen, und da musste er lange bleiben.

Einst wollte ein alter Bauer das Kübelchen forttragen. Doch dieses wurde immer schwerer, so dass der Mann es fallen lassen musste.

Einige wollen in jener Gegend nachts eine Katze gesehen haben, welche leuchtete, aber bald verschwand.
